|To break a bad eating habit, you need to change your expectations. You need to accept that willpower cannot be the only method
used to change behavior. If you keep ice cream in your freezer, guess what? You are going to eat it. There are a rare few in this
world who can resist a food temptation. But most of us need to create new habits around our food choices. If you change the cues
and choices around you, you don’t have to think and struggle with temptation every time. It is important for us to acknowledge that
our habits never really leave us. They are encoded in us, and the brain really cannot tell the difference between a good habit and a
bad habit. The brain just knows that in the end, there is a reward. So the goal is to replace an old bad habit with a new good one.
You do that by setting up new routines. Take the habit of eating ice cream after dinner. Change your after-dinner routine and make
fruit smoothies with your kids instead—and don’t buy that gallon of ice cream and keep it in your freezer. When you really want an
ice cream cone, head down to the street to the local stand and get a scoop of yummy homemade ice cream and enjoy every bite.
Here are some basic steps to set yourself up for success by replacing a bad habit with a healthy habit:
Identify the bad eating habit you want to change. Be very specific and start small.
Identify the cues that are associated with the bad eating habit.
Decide what you need to change in your environment to lead you to choose the new healthy habit.
Practice the new habit time and time again. If you have a lapse, start fresh at the next meal.
Check willpower at the door—and stop blaming yourself.
Here’s an example. John always leaves the dinner table feeling Thanksgiving-dinner stuffed. He tells himself each night before
dinner that he is not going to overeat. Again and again, he leaves the table too full and feeling bad about his lack of willpower. How
can he change this habit?
He identifies his bad eating habit as overeating at dinner and feeling stuffed. The cues associated with it are feeling like he has to
finish everything on his plate. So he swaps his 12-inch dinner plate for an 8-inch salad plate for all his meals. He can still clean his
plate, but no longer feels so stuffed.
In the end, small changes like this are the keys to getting the results you want, not heroic exercises of willpower.

Spread calories all throughout the day. Several small meals help cravings and binges. This also sky rockets your metabolism <-- Which dramatically melts
fat. Instead of restricting your calories all at once try to spread your food out all day and you will notice you naturally eat less because you are full all day.
Fiber pushes food with ease. This gives less time for fat to settle and be stored. Take fiber pills to get adequate amounts.
Jump Rope: It is amazing! Jump for 2 minutes and build your endurance up to 10 minutes! You will see the fat come off if you do this everyday. Especially in
Iron- Hemoglobin ---meats/eggs/dark green leafy veggies
Chew sugar free gum to curb appetite and burn calories. (Peppermint flavor)

Do not eat past 6:00PM <-- this gives you time to digest and burn some of the calories you ate before bed.
Never eat anything in the amount bigger than a cup. Eating more expands your stomach. This can make you hungrier.
Drink one glass of water every hour. It will make you feel full all day. This in turn makes you eat less.

If you have a real bad craving for something, taste it but don't swallow. Enjoy every bite.

Out of sight/Out of mind. Clear all temptation off the counters and tabletops.
Take a bath when cravings occur. This keeps you busy and calms you down.
Starvation slows metabolism dramatically. Fasting is good if done the right way.
Vitamin A - healthy skin/hair/nails/eyes - dark green and yellow vegetables/broccoli/spinach/carrots/squash/sweet potatoes/yellow fruits/cantalose/
Vitamin C - antioxidant/collagen builder/teeth - broccoli/green and red peppers/lemon/orange/strawberries

Celery Burns Calories. Eat a stick of it every hour. Combined with your water every hour you will feel full for long amounts of time. Thus not eating and
gaining weight. Right?

Get a job so you will have to work through meal times.

When preparing a meal make your largest portion vegetables. Broccolis, spinach, cucumbers, are full of fiber and water. So, they make a full feeling without
the extra calories.
Fasting correctly will help you lose weight. But most people do it wrong!
Wrong way: Fast for 30 days and eat a peach on day 31
Right way: Eat correctly and only fast for two or three days a week. Breaking up the days this way will keep you metabolism high at all times.
When feeling weak (especially on fasts) drink a sugar free red bull <-- only 10 calories and it is a great energy booster
Give yourself a manicure or pedicure.
Clean/Organize it will make you feel better.
Do aerobics until you want to faint.
Take cold showers. Your body will burn calories to heat you back up. 100 calories for each degree your body temperature has to raise back up.
Keep you hair in good condition (vitamins!) So, no one will suspect anything.
Clean something nasty if you get a hunger craving. Toilet and litter boxes are always a great choice.
Exercise twice the amount of calories you eat.
Take a sip of water in between each bite (that you chewed 10 - 30 times) you will fill up faster.
Sleep @ least 7hrs and no more than eight. Not getting enough sleep stimulates appetite by 15%<-- not good!

|Food is a common necessity in our everyday life. We constantly have to make decisions about food for both ourselves and our families. While trying to decipher the
labels while standing in the aisles of the grocery store, one might establish that many of the foods we consume are indeed made of some unexpected ingredients, and
some that are just unpronounceable in the English language. There are hundreds of little known facts about food out there, but we have picked the ones we think are

We’ve all heard the horror stories about fast food restaurants. These facts will definitely make you think twice about super sizing.

8. The highest price coffee in the world comes from civet droppings. – Kopi Luwak are coffee beans that come from Civet poop. The animals indulge on only the most
exquisitely ripe berries, and excrete the partly eaten beans, which are then cultivated to be sold. Kopi Luwak sells anywhere from $120 and $600 per pound. It is
primarily sold in the U.S. and Japan.
9. About one-third of bottled water contained synthetic organic chemicals, bacteria, and arsenic. – In a study of over 900 bottles and 100 store brands that were tested
by the National Resources Defense Council. On another note, there are also more than 115,000 human-made chemicals that are finding their way into the public water
10. Pink-grapefruit juice drinks may contain bugs. – You won’t find it listed in the contents, but it is definitely there. The insects are in the shape of an ordinary food
coloring named cochineal extract, carmine, or carmines acid. The reddish color is derived from the insect known as Dactylopius Coccus Costa, whose diet is of red
cactus berries. The bugs are dried up and then ground into a fine powder that is used in a lot of processed foods with a pink, red or purple tint.
11. Worcestershire sauce is made from dissolved fish. – The world renown English sauce is made with liquefied anchovies. The anchovies are soaked in vinegar until

12. The phosphoric acid found in cola is so acidic that it can dissolve a nail in 4 days. – The pH of soda is equivalent to the pH level of vinegar .That’s what makes this
