Dear Jodee, can I lose weight by using Cocaine?
Dear Prothinspo Member…

Cocaine is an illegal and dangerous drug - outlawed in most countries around the world. Many people speculate as to whether celebrities ever partake of the
drug to induce rapid weight loss. We can only speculate until they get arrested....Most people already know that cocaine can make you lose weight.

Here is a story I found from New Zealand. A wealthy 51 yr-old property developer is a suspected drug dealer. He attempted to justify his actions by claiming that
cocaine was helping him lose weight.

"In explanation for his actions, the defendant stated that he had discovered taking cocaine in the evening suppressed his appetite and helped him lose weight,"
the police summary said.
This may explain the success of Henderson's slimming regime. Last winter, Henderson seized on the Atkins craze and lost at least 24kg. During the stressful
2000 when he was building the $250 million Princes Wharf redevelopment, "Hendo" was a big lad. But by last winter, the metamorphosis was spectacular.
He sported a new wardrobe and cut a much finer figure on the waterfront. Come the summer, he appeared even leaner, as the diet regime continued apace and
his face shape changed markedly

I don’t suggest getting hooked on any illegal drugs to lose weight.
I only know of one diet product on the market that mimics the effects of cocaine weight loss. Of course it is new to the market after many years of clinical

Introducing the World’s First Chemically Altered Diet Pill designed to stimulate the COCAINE AMPHETAMINE REGULATORY TRANSCRIPT (C-A-R-T) and Inhibit
Through years of study and breakthroughs in modern science we’ve discovered the key to long term weight loss success. And you can only find this compound
inside of THIS weight loss solution.

The reason you are overweight is because there is a YIN-YANG battle going on deep within your brain, inside the satiety center of your hypothalamus. The battle
is, C.A.R.T. vs. NP-Y… or Good vs. Evil.

C.A.R.T. (Cocaine.Amphetamine.Regulatory.Transcript.) is the “Good Guy”… and if you’re trying to lose weight it's your Guardian Angel! The C stands for cocaine
and the A for amphetamine because these drugs put this chemical into overdrive. When C.A.R.T. is stimulated it increases your metabolism, reduces your
appetite, and increases insulin to deliver energy to your muscles rather than be stored as body fat.

NP-Y (Neuropeptide-Y) is the Villain. It’s a stress hormone that drives the eating chemicals into overdrive. When stimulated it will decrease your metabolism,
cause your body temperature to drop, and increase your appetite.

THIS PRODUCT was designed to stimulate C.A.R.T. and inhibit NP-Y, thus helping you win the battle of the bulge. (note: This product does not contain cocaine,
amphetamine, ephedra, or cannabanoids. We found alternatives to cocaine and amphetamine to activate C.A.R.T.)
READ MORE BELOW..Here is what's in THIS CART Program and how this product works:
After decades of research and scientific breakthroughs in the weight loss pills industry, we've finally discovered the key to fast and lasting weight loss
And that key is only available in this CART PROGRAM.

The main reason you're overweight is the back-and-forth battle going on deep within the brain inside the satiety center of your hypothalamus. The ongoing battle
exists between the two neuropeptides CART and NPY ... also known as the good and the bad when it comes to weight loss.

CART (Cocaine Amphetamine Regulatory Transcript) is your best friend if you're trying to lose weight. On the other hand NPY is the enemy when it comes to
weight loss. THIS PRODUCT was designed as the best weight loss pills to stimulate CART while inhibiting NPY
to help you lose weight safely and powerfully.

On the other hand NPY is the enemy when it comes to weight loss. As a stress hormone, NPY kicks up the appetite and signals hunger. When NPY is
stimulated it limits the metabolism and lowers the body temperature.

THIS PRODUCT is a product which was designed to stimulate CART while inhibiting NPY to help you lose weight safely and powerfully in a way the best weight
loss pills have never been able to do before even from what was previously considered to be the top weight loss pills.

What It Does:

Cocaine and Amphetamine kicks the body's CART into overdrive which helps to increase the metabolism, reduce the appetite and increase insulin levels to
deliver the maximum amount of energy to the muscles instead of storing excess calories as body fat. By igniting CART,
This CART PROGRAM  product has become the best weight loss pills available!

DiCaffeine Malate - 250mg
The rumors that Coca-Cola included actual cocaine when it was first introduced are actually true. When the drug was illegalized after World War I, Coke needed
an alternative to stimulate the mind and body while delivering similar benefits as cocaine. Caffeine soon replaced the cocaine and Coke has remained one of
the best-selling beverages in the world. In Fenphedrine we use one of the most potent and multi-dimensional forms of caffeine combined with all-natural malic
acid bonded to increase energy levels, stimulate thermogenesis and promote greater mental alertness and focus.
The only way to experience the full benefits of caffeine is through DiCaffeine Malate.

Hops - 100mg
Commonly known as Hops, the plant Humulus Lupulus is one of only two plants in the Cannabinaceae family. The alkaloid Lupulinum is extracted from hops and
works as a mild stimulant to trigger relaxation within the body.

Razberi K™ - 50mg
Subjects on a high-fat diet to induce obesity in a recent study (Morimoto et al, 2005) gained less body fat when using 1 to 2% concentrations of this patented and
proven form of Raspberry Ketone
than a control group on the same diet.

Cocoa Extract - 50mg
Cocoa Extract is packed with powerful constituents including methylxanthines (theobromine, caffeine, and theophylline), biogenic amines (phenylethylamine,
tyramine, and synephrine), amino acids (phenylalanine, tryptophan, tyrosine, others), minerals (with a high content of magnesium), several antioxidants and non-
psychoactive cannabanoid-related compounds to ignite the weight loss process. The Pea in Cocoa Extract is an amphetamine-like compound closely related to
the naturally occurring catecholamine neurotransmitters and the amino acid precursors tyrosine and phenylalanine. PEA works within the brain to promote
feelings of pleasure and relaxation. Extracted from chocolate,
PEA is the leading aphrodisiac found in chocolate.

Ginger Extract (20% Gingerols) - 50mg
Ginger has been used for centuries to provide relief from gallstones and numerous other health conditions. Ginger helps flush bile from the gallbladder to
eliminate unnecessary waste within the body. Ginger has also been shown to thin the blood and lower cholesterol to help cleanse the body and increase
This process speeds the metabolism and
increases the flow of nutrients within the body to provide additional energy.

Synephrine HCL - 20mg
Synephrine is a powerful weight loss ingredient derived from citrus aurantium. Synephrine HCL provides similar benefits as caffeine and other powerful
stimulants without serious side effects. By increasing energy expenditure, increasing the metabolism and suppressing the appetite,
Synphrine HCL is key to signalling key weight loss functions within the body.

Thermodiamine™ (98% Evodiamine) - 15mg
Thermodiamine is clinically proven to reduce fat absorption within the body while increasing thermogenesis. Thermodiamine increases lipolytic activity (the fatâ
€“burning process)
by increasing the vanilloid receptors to increase body temperature.

Lipolide-Sc™ (98% Sclareolide) - 15mg
The powerful thermogenic properties of Lipolide enhance weight loss by supporting an increased level of lipolytic activity through the Cyclic AMP.
Cyclic AMP
helps the body produce more energy by breaking down excess fat stored within the body.

This is a high performance weight loss supplement that utilizes a formula that is first of its kind!
This is the first diet pill to base its formula on scientific research isolating the
Cocaine Amphetamine Regulatory Transcript (C-A-R-T) and Neuropeptide-Y (NPY).

In short, CART is the good chemical component that triggers increased metabolism and lowers appetites and NPY is the bad stress hormone that causes your
body to lower in body temperature, decrease metabolism, and increase appetite. Adjusting the CART and NPY in your body, Increases metabolism, reduces
appetite, increases muscle function, and reduces body fat storage.

But science aside, THIS  is one of the most popular weight loss products on the market. It has consistently received the highest rankings and feedback from
consumers as being the Most Powerful Diet Pill.
According to our independent research,AND has 97% customer approval rating, which is unheard of in this industry.
There are multiple reports citing results ranging from 10 pounds per week to 33 pounds in just 3½ weeks.

Info on a 10 day water fast

♥ How much weight will I lose?
Weight loss can initially be as high as three to four pounds per day, much of it water, but as the fast continues, the average loss will be
one pound per day. If you are juice fasting and not losing weight, the juice is supplying all the calories you need. You may have to cut
down on the juices or alternate between water fasting and juice fasting if losing weight is part of your goal.
The slower your metabolism, the slower the weight loss.

♥ Will I get too thin?
If you are thin or at average weight and you fast for 30 days on juice or 10 days on water, ribs will show, face will become gaunt,
friends and family will notice. It is imperative not to eat a lot after the fast because the body will quickly re-gain the lost weight during
the next 10 days.
Instead, ease yourself onto food by gradually incorporating fruit and veg in your diet.
Metabolism is normalized due to the cleansing process.
It is very important not to try to gain weight too quickly.
The body can rebuild only at a set rate.
Overeating will burden the body and undermine the rebuilding process.

♥ Will fasting shrink my stomach?
From years of over-filling the stomach, it is no surprise that the muscles supporting the tummy have lost its natural elasticity,
stretched out of shape.
People with large protruding stomachs need more food to feel full, out-eating their need.
Fasting helps recover the stomach's natural elasticity, restoring a flat stomach.
You will be satisfied on less food, tummy in proportionate size to the body’s caloric requirement.

Absence of Food and State
Fasting refers to the complete absence of Food, only Water.

Short-Term Fasting
In general, fasts should be conducted for no longer than 28 days, with most fasts 21 days or less. Long fats (for more than 42 days),
are both unnecessary, and potentially dangerous. A prolonged fast, for more than 2-3 months, is called Starvation! Although most of
the 'miraculous' benefits of fasting do result from 3-5 days or more but 7-14 days, that's "healing". Although days 1-7 are quite
beneficial to be sure, days 7-14 are truly tremendous, with the benefits from days 14-21 becoming extreme. Days 21-28 are nothing
than a complete regeneration of the body. Literally erasing years of aging. (Where the true "Miracles of fasting" take place).

Medium-Term Fasting
Medium fasts (Between 28-42 days), although certainly possible, and frequently performed by dedicated fasters. The benefits of a 35
day fast are absolutely astonishing!

Fasting and Ketone Bodies
After the third day of a fast, the body begins to make ketone bodies in the liver (Enters ketosis). In the absence of food (Energy),
Ketone bodies are produced by the body as an alternate energy source. Normally, ketone levels in the blood are less than 0.2mm.
After several days of fasting they approach 3.0mm, and steadily rise thereafter. Importantly, never eat, even an extremely amount of
food during a fast. This will quickly shift the body out of ketosis, back to its normal metabolism of glucose (food), decreasing ketone
bodies, decreasing growth hormone and increasing hunger.

Fasting and Hunger Levels
The only challenge to fasting, and a challenge for many it is, is completing the first 1-5 days. During days 1-5 hunger levels can
fluctuate from average, to well above average many actually experience their greatest hunger on day 3 (Just prior to ketosis, when
both blood sugar, and ketone body levels, are lowest). After day 3, hunger levels noticeably decrease. After day 5, hunger levels, and
the "desire" for food in general (So strong initially), dramatically decrease. After day 10, hunger levels, for the most part, are non-

Fasting and Energy Levels
During days 1-5, energy levels can fluctuate from average to well below average (Feeling light headed, at times, is not uncommon).
During days 5-10, energy levels very noticeably improve after day 10, with sharply elevated levels of both growth hormone, and ketone
energy levels are tremendous, as is mental clarity.

Fasting and Weight Loss
Expect (in general) to lose 1 pound each day of fasting!

Fasting and Starvation
Contrary to what many people believe, fasting is not starvation. During the fast, the body is breaking down the non-essential tissue
(Fat) for energy. While conserving essential tissue. Starvation, is the point where the body has used up all of its non-essential tissues
(Reserves) ,and begins to break down its own essential tissues. This point (The point of starvation), even for the average individual (Of
normal weight), takes quite some time to reach (Some 42 days or more).

Fasting and severely restrictive diets
Prolonged, severely restrictive diets are extremely unhealthy, in many cases, even life threatening. Unlike fasting, the body never
completely enters ketosis (A fundamental process in sparing essential tissue from breaking down). The result, severely restrictive
diets cause the body to lose a much greater percentage of lean body tissue (Essential tissue) than a complete fast. Over time (Once
body reserves become dangerously low), lean body tissue (Essential tissue) eventually become used as an energy source. Prolonged,
severely restrictive diets, are essentially just a slow form of starvation.

Fasting and Calorie Restriction
Calorie restricted (10-30%) diets are extremely healthy. Unlike severely restricted diets, the bodies energy (Food) needs are restricted
just enough to result in sharply elevated levels of growth hormone, while eliminating the need to break down essential tissues.

Recommended Fasting Schedule
Definitely include short-term fasting (1-28 days) into your schedule. Your body will begin to literally "grow younger" before your eyes,
especially, after day 10.

Discipline and Determination
Suppressing hunger (During days 1-5), one of life's greatest drives, is not easy for most! Eliminating food (During the fasting period),
one of life's greatest pleasures, is not easy for most! However, those that have the discipline, and determination, will have tremendous
to extreme healthy benefits awaiting them!

No Pain No Gain
With the exceptions of days 1-5, particularly day 3, fasting is not nearly as difficult as one might imagine (In fact, after day 10, quite
pleasurable). Remember too, exercise (Discussed next), also associated with some degree of self sacrifice to promote health, pales
in comparison to fasting in terms of health benefits. In fact, one could perform 1-3 annual (14-28) fasts, or calorie restrict (10-30%),
never exercise again, and achieve a state of health that no form or amount of exercise could ever accomplish.
The good and bad on fasting:
it focuses the body on burning up and clearing toxins.
Its great for loosing weight!!!
Breaks down cancer cells and other illnesses
Also breaks down....built up chemicals, BODY FAT, and transformed fatty acids.
You have to drink 8-10 glasses og water a day
you have to stay exercise as your body gets weak
You will suffer from dizziness, especially when getting up from sitting or laying down,
May cause black outs if you go for a long fast
Juice fast can cause extreme bowl movement.
Take a multi-vitamin as the body may lack in this area.

This will mainly benefit people with a low metabolism, as it gathers lots of energy and then will find it easier compared to lower
metabolism who will lose energy and probably feel drowned out.
Water dieting is one long detoxification, the long detox.
Water fasting demands mental preparation,
clear your calendar for the amount of days your planning to fast for.
Water fasting is proven to be more difficult then juice fasting as the body is getting no calories or nutrients.

There are alot of nutrients in fresh juice that energizes the body's natural regenerative abilities.
This system of removing wasteland supply a full spectrum
of nutrients has an advantage of over weight loss program
Drinking less juice supples fewer calories therefore increasing detoxification.
Juice diet drinks include: fresh juice, herbal tea, vegetable broth, and Barley green/water.

Water. We absolutely must drink water to survive, and it has zero calories, so there's no excuse to not drink it. As we typically get
much of our water content from foods, when we reduce food intake we begin to dehydrate ourselves, which is dangerous.
Also, cold water chills the body and may raise metabolism to get warm again.
Vitamins and minerals. We must have these, too, to survive and so again there's no reason not to take at least a daily multivitamin
(which may help reduce some cravings as well). Vitamins are vital in keeping our bodies functioning and our skin, hair, teeth nice.
Particularly be aware of electrolytes(potassium, magnesium, salt, along w/ water balance) and calcium.
Protein. Protein is necessary, particularly if you're exercising. It maintains and repairs our muscles, including heart muscle, which is
(last i heard) kind of a requisite for continued survival.
Caffeine. While caffeine can be an appetite suppressant and can increase your metabolism, it will also act as a diuretic. Drink a glass
of water for each cup of tea, coffee,
or diet soda you have. Again, dehydration is a potentially serious problem.
Get plenty of sleep. Steal naps whenever you can and rest when you need to rest. Sleep deprivation increases appetite and makes you
age faster.

A true water fast maintains a zero caloric intake. This means water only, nothing added to it. Some call water fasting the only "true" fast and believe that any food allowed into the bodily system
prevents the complete resting state desired, compromising the level of cleansing and detox attained. While it is true that water fasting is the most intense path to detoxification and therapeutic benefit, other
types of fasting, and even cleansing diets, detox and heal as well. What differs is the intensity and speed of the experience.

Water fasting isn't for everyone, nor is it appropriate at all times. The more toxic your body is, the more intense your discomfort will be in those early days if you haven't properly prepared. It can be difficult
to continue on your own if the symptoms have become frightening.

The speed at which old conditions can right themselves during a water fast is incredible. It's amazing the little health "issues" that just go away--the mole that just drops off, the shoulder that's been achy
for years suddenly feels well again, that little patch of "weird" skin you've grown accustomed to vanishes without a trace...and those are just the little things. Fasting can even alleviate some "big" things, but
if you have major health conditions, you may benefit from having professional supervision.
Water fasters are advised to consume one to two quarts per day of the purest water available or to use distilled water. (While distilled water is not good for everyday consumption, it is good during a fast for
its increased ability to bind to toxins.) The first few days of a fast are the most difficult. Besides the emotional challenge of going without food, these first days may have the most intense and uncomfortable
symptoms of detoxification. After that, the body adjusts to the new fasting state, and most individuals feel little further discomfort, even hunger disappears.

After 2-3 days, the body goes into a state called ketosis, where it begins to fuel itself internally by burning fat cells. Ketosis occurs around 48 hours for women and 72 hours for men according to Dr. Joel
Fuhrman, author of Fasting and Eating for Health. The length of time one can safely operate in ketosis varies from person to person. When hunger returns, often called "true hunger", it will be an
unmistakable call of the body for nourishment, and is a signal to end the fast.

Considering a supervised fast
If you're fasting to alleviate serious conditions and diseases, you should consider a supervised water fast. Water fasting can be dangerous, and I repeat, can be, but isn't usually. According to Fuhrman, the
most frequent serious problem comes from sustaining an injury from passing out because you got up too quickly. But there are also tests that can be done before fasting to be sure you don't have any
physical issues that could complicate a fast.

Another reason to seek supervision is if you are extremely overweight and are wanting to fast to lose weight. Obesity presents its own unique challenges in what are likely more severe eating patterns and
addictions. Emotional issues are highly intertwined with attitudes about food. One must be careful to not support a behavior that could lead to an eating disorder, but to promote a healthy lifestyle that can
be maintained long-term.

How to find someone to supervise your water fast
The International Association of Hygienic Physicians is a professional association of primary care physicians who offer fasting supervision. On their website,, is their Professional Referral List
where you can check for a physician in your area. Some are certified, meaning they have completed an internship and meet certain criteria for experience level. Some only offer supervision through their
clinics or retreats, so you must travel to their part of the world to do your supervised fast. This can be a great thing; getting away from the responsibilities of your ordinary life can make the fasting
experience more enjoyable.

For those who cannot or do not want to travel, some of these physicians offer phone consultations to guide and supervise you through a fast you do at home. Depending on your medical condition, they
may require you visit with your regular local doctor at some point before or during the fast.

Another option is to talk to your own doctor and see if s/he would be willing to oversee your health during a water fast, but keep in mind that s/he may not be as familiar with the situations, both physical
and emotional, that are unique to fasting. You would need to do quite a bit of your own homework, maybe even provide your doctor with a copy of Dr. Fuhrman's book.

Your local phone book is another source depending on how big your city is. Look under "naturopaths", "naturopathic physicians", "holistic practitioners", "alternative medicine and health practitioners",
and even "fasting" if your city is big enough.

Going it alone
While professional supervision may be the ideal method for a water fast, especially a longer one, many individuals are successful with self-supervision. A rational approach coupled with your intuitional
knowledge of your body can be sufficient to stay out of danger.

Don't bite off too much at once. Don't start with a 10-day water fast, tomorrow, if you've never fasted before. Start with short, one day easier fasts, like fruit or brown rice. Or start with intermittent fasting,
like "unto the 9th hour" or one meal a day plans. If your eating habits have been really poor, you may want to do a cleansing diet for a week or two, or even a month or more if you feel you may be very toxic.

After you've prepared yourself with these other methods and gained some experience and knowledge about what it takes to fast, you can try occasional one-day water fasts. (Fast no more often than one
day per week.)

All of these shorter excursions will be very informative and clarifying on your relationship to food--good and bad (but mostly bad). Fasting in all forms offers great personal gifts unique to each of us. If you
have no desire to do long-term fasts ever in your life, you can stick with shorter fasts and the rewards will deepen over time.

If you're going to water fast on your own, honor the rules about rest and recuperation and attention to increasing bodily awareness. You must slow down. You must honor your body and its needs and
messages. You must give every opportunity for this to be a healing experience--on all levels--and you know intuitively what you need to do and what you need to let go of to allow this.

Due to the intense nature of water fasting, it is more important to educate yourself with further reading. There are a couple of really informative books on water fasting that are recommended.

Fasting is a personal journey--you are not competing with anyone. Your body dictates how long you can safely fast, not your head.
Annmarie Colbin, author of Food and Healing, states her last water fast ended early after just four days. She sets a good example for the rest of us in listening to her own inner guidance and signals, and not
pushing herself counter to her best judgment or succumbing to the pressure we feel because others are watching.

Colbin shares another story about a friend on a 28-day fast who wanted to stop at 10 days. This friend allowed her advising doctor to convince her to continue. It was winter in New York and she was holding
down regular hours at work. She completed the fast, but became so depleted, she "estimates that it took her two years to undo the damage and feel normal once again."

Trust yourself.

Tips for water fasting:
Preparation - See the Water Fasting Tips for Success page, which includes information on preparation and implementation. Keep in mind that the toughest part of a water fast is actually beginning it. But
many long term dieters say fasting is easier than dieting, after the first few days.
Water - Drink at least one quart of water per day, some recommend 2 quarts/day. Use the highest quality available or distilled. Some water fasters add a slice of lemon to their water, as it not only imparts a bit
of flavor, but it adds beneficial enzymes and is cleansing in nature. This only contributes a couple of calories.
Weight loss - Weight comes off quickly at first, mostly water weight, then weight loss tapers off. After the fast, you will put water weight back on just as quickly.

Taking into account this water weight fluctuation, the average sustained weight loss from longer term fasts is one pound per day. See Fasting to Lose Weight for more information.

And for insight into the changes fasting creates around our weight, see Using Fasting for Weight Loss.

Rest - It is important to allow plenty of opportunity for rest, both physical and emotional. Reading is an ideal activity especially if the material is uplifting in nature. Give yourself permission to nap if ever you
feel the need. It is best to avoid emotionally upsetting circumstances when possible.

Some people need to slow down and rest more than others during a water fast; some actually should not drive a car, while for others, it is fine. Usually, overweight individuals feel more energetic during a
water fast, while thinner individuals will usually feel more tired as their body seeks to conserve energy.

Light exercise, such as walking or yoga or stretching, may be fine, and it may be too much. Be willing to listen to your body's messages.

Detox - Start practicing dry skin brushing and breathing exercises to enhance the body's ability to detox through both the skin and the lungs. As cleansing of the body progresses, there develops a natural
aversion to unhealthful substances--not just inferior foods, but also alcohol and tobacco.
Colon health - Contrary to popular belief, enemas are not necessary during a fast. The bowels can take care of themselves, and it is ok to not have a bowel movement during a fast. Both Dr. Joel Fuhrman
and Herbert Shelton, who each fasted thousands of individuals, recommend leaving the bowels alone.

What can be helpful, however, is taking some sort of natural laxative both before and after the actual fast. Psyllium is excellent for this. The best colon cleanse recipe utilizing psyllium can be found here.

And other methods of fasting colon cleansing can be found here. There are over-the-counter suppositories available, as well, to facilitate the first bowel movement.

Breaking the fast - Coming off a water fast requires the utmost care. Begin with small pieces of juicy fruit, such as watermelon, every 2 hours. The length of the fast performed will dictate how many days you
take to re-acclimate your body to regular eating. See Guidelines to Breaking a Fast for more information.. below...

After the fast - Pay attention to the subtle signals from your body as they can guide you to the foods most appropriate for your needs.

During a fast, the body undergoes several biological changes. Enzymes normally produced by the digestive system have ceased to be produced or have been diminished greatly, depending on the type of
fast performed, so introducing food slowly allows the body time to re-establish this enzyme production.

The protective mucus lining of the stomach may be temporarily diminished as well, making the stomach walls more vulnerable to irritation until it also returns to normal. Gentle reintroduction of foods,
beginning with the simplest and easiest-to-digest foods, supports this process. Substances known to be irritating to the system, such as coffee and spicy foods, must be avoided during the breaking

Because of these biological changes, overeating immediately following a fast is much worse than overeating at any other time. Your system needs time to readjust back to normal digestion and assimilation.
Not taking the proper measures can result in stomach cramping, nausea, and even vomiting.

The adjustment period necessary is based on the length of the fast. Four days is considered adequate for any of the longer fasts, 1-3 days for shorter fasts, and just a day or so for one-day fasts.

Foods to use for breaking a fast
The most nutritious and easy-to-digest foods are used to break a fast initially, gradually adding more diversity and complexity over time.

The type of fast employed will determine the type of foods you use to break it. While juice or fruit are good for breaking a water fast, obviously, they aren't very helpful in breaking juice or fruit fasts.

To help you determine when to introduce the different food groups, use the following list. It begins with those that are easiest on the system and can be introduced early on, and progresses to those that
should be added later.

Depending on the length of your fast, you may go through the list in one day or in 4 days. And you certainly don't need to eat everything on the list, it's just a general guideline.

fruit and vegetable juices
raw fruits
vegetable or bone broths
yogurt (or other living, cultured milk products), unsweetened
lettuces and spinach (can use plain yogurt as a dressing and top with fresh fruit)
cooked vegetables and vegetable soups
raw vegetables
well cooked grains and beans
nuts and eggs
milk products (non-cultured)
meats and anything else
Any of the first three items are good for that initial "breaking" of a fast, that first thing you eat; raw fruit being the easiest and most popular.

Even if you did a brown rice fast, eating at #8 on the list, you'll want to start adding new foods from toward the top of the list. This will support re-establishment of more diverse enzyme production
beginning with the simplest.

More pointers for breaking a fast
Pay close attention to your body's reactions to these "new" foods. Watch for any adverse reactions, perhaps signalling a mild allergy or that you have gone too far, too quickly. Feel for the sensation of
fullness and stop eating at that point. Begin to train yourself to watch for that signal, so you'll always know when your body is fully nourished.
When breaking a fast, begin with frequent small meals, every 2 hours or so, progressing gradually toward larger meals with more time in between them until you reach a "normal" eating routine, such as 3
meals and 2 snacks in a day's time.
Chew foods well. This will help immensely with proper digestion and is a good habit to foster.
Strive to add live enzymes and good bacteria to your system. Fresh, raw foods are full of living enzymes good for your body and digestion. Probiotics, or "good" bacteria, can be found not only in pill form,
but also in naturally cultured and fermented food products, such as yogurt, sauerkraut, and miso.
Overall, the following four factors represent what we are trying to accomplish when breaking a fast:
Frequent meals  toward less frequent meals
Small meals  toward larger meals

Tips and Preparation for a Water Fast: Maximum water fast - 21 days
Water fasting is not recommended if you must take medication. You may do a juice fast (above), as the juice will protect the

1.Preparing for a water fast:
Raw fruit and vegetable juices only for three or four days preceding the fast.

2.While fasting:
Drink at least 2 liters of water per day, more if you're in a hot climate. Dehydration is your worst enemy. Add ¼ - ½ t. salt per
liter of water. Smart Water by Glaceau has added electrolytes.

3.Rest: You will feel weaker than normal after several days of fasting
Potential (and usually minor) side effects and how to cope with them:
• Hunger: Most are surprised by the disappearance of hunger after a few days of fasting.

• Weakness: Water fasting will result in weakness and lack of energy. There can even be dips in stamina during a juice fast if
you have a high metabolism. Your expectations should be adjusted when planning a fast. Give yourself lots of down time;
enjoy the holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

• Backaches: Back pain can increase due to toxins in the lower intestine. Blood vessels that draw nutrients from the colon are
very close to the nerves of the spine. Back pain will often decrease after elimination of the toxins. Back exercises can also
relieve some pain. A cold pack also will help.

• Bad Breath: Brushing the tongue with a toothbrush and using dental floss and rinsing with mouthwash will reduce bad
breath. Rinse your mouth with plain water or water mixed with lemon juice to relieve these symptoms.

• Mouth Cankers: To stop cankers, gargle with sea salt mixed with water several times daily. Dabbing the sore with tea tree oil
or vitamin E quickens the healing process.

• Colds and other viruses: Mucous is the perfect food for viruses. Toxins weaken the immune system. When large quantities
of toxins and mucus are in the blood due to a fast, they can cause susceptibility to colds. To fight a cold, continue fasting to
eliminate mucus. Increase intake of citrus juices.

• Dizziness and/or Blackouts: During fasting the body conserves energy. The heart pumps slower and blood pressure lowers.
Standing or moving quickly from a resting position will cause the blood to flow to the legs, causing dizziness. To stop
blackouts get down on one knee or sit. Lowering your center of gravity will instantly stop a blackout. Blackouts are more
frequent during water fasting.

• Diarrhea: Fruit juices have a laxative effect which is more pronounced after water fasting. Diarrhea early on is a normal.

• Constipation: It is important that you have regular bowel movements while you're fasting… try to get those flax seeds in like I
said above!!
• Headaches: Toxins can cause muscle tightness in the neck and shoulders. This can result in tension headaches. Massaging
the neck and shoulders will help relieve the tension.

• Muscle Tightness: A self-massage, hot baths, stretching and exercising will help to release the toxins.

• Nausea: Drinking water or carrot juice will dilute the bile and toxin mixture, helping to flush bile and toxins from the system.

• Nervousness: Light exercise will help relieve this.

• Skin Reactions: People with problem-free skin may have a few days of pimples or boils. As the fast progresses, the skin will
be healthy, soft and unblemished.

• Tiredness: Sleepiness is normal during water or restricted juice fasting. Very few people receive enough rest, so enjoy the
extra sleep; it may be as healing and rejuvenating as the fast itself.

• Feeling Cold: You may be more susceptible to cold, since the body has a harder time keeping warm and trying to conserve
energy at the same time.

• Insomnia: Be sure to nap during the day if your sleep at night is lighter.

Breaking the Fast:
1. Don't hurry - this is the hardest part - your body has adjusted to a liquid only diet and will need some time to readjust. It's a
good idea to start preparing mentally before the day you've chosen to break the fast - it is not a good idea to break the fast
with potato chips.

2. Digestive enzymes – Putting your enzymes into action is key… They say digestive enzymes can keep you thinner for life..

3.Small quantities at first!

4. Veggie Soup: You now get to eat all those yummy veggies you've been juicing and/or grinding up. You can use any high-
water-content veggies. The same ones in the potassium broth are fine. You can also add broccoli or other veggies you love.

5. On the third day, introduce salad. Your first salad should be any lettuce other than iceberg, sprouts, grated carrots and
grated beets with light oil and vinegar dressing.

6. When you're ready to introduce grains: Soak quinoa, millet, amaranth or brown rice for 8 hours, then cook normally. Soaking
the grain will sprout it and get rid of phyto-acid - the grain enzyme which inhibits digestion.

7. Slowly re-introduce non-powder proteins. Start with lower saturated fat proteins first.

8. When breaking a fast longer than 10 days: The break-in period should be extended one day for every 4 days of fasting.

Remember - Number One Rule of All Fasting - Find a health practitioner who supports fasting and take her advice. If you start
to feel bad, weak, no energy - see her or your physician. If she tells you to stop fasting, stop.
